Another steampunk gift

I'm really having fun with these.  Hope the people I'm making them for enjoy them half as much as I do!!

A Ladies Diary shadow box

I found this silverware tray at Goodwill.  I've been wanting to use A Ladies Diary since it came out but wasn't sure how.  Will after being inspired by a bunch of cool printer's trays and shadow boxes, I took the plunge!  Here's my attempt.

I have a few more bits and bobs to add - some lace I think and I would like to add an old fashion pen of some sort.  I used fashion accessories but I think some writing items would be fun too.

Nightmare powder???

Here are bottles that could go in an apothecary cabinet!

But right now they are in a carrier with the words DEAD MAN'S PARTY!!  I thought that was fitting ;)

Apothecary cabinet

Artfully Musing has a giveaway where you can submit a pix of an apothecary cabinet you have made for a chance to win some of her amazing works.  Here's what I did.
I started with this weird country looking house thing.  And painted it black.
I also tore off some of the trim.
Then I made it into this:
I used a bunch of different papers and some photos and little bottles.  It's very spooky now!!

Steam trinket box

A friend got this plain little wooden box at a scrapbook garage sale.  She doesn't scrap at all and she wanted a steampunk trinket box for some of her steampunk jewelry.  This is what I came up with.

Halloween Altered Box!

The Halloween spirit has hit me!  I spent yesterday on an altered box I got at Goodwill for $3.  I found a cool skeleton hand at Michael's, and used one of those little black frames from the $1 bin.  I'd gotten the Martha Steward Halloween pad for $4 and added a couple more embellishments I had lying around.  I really like the way this one turned out.

There's black lace around the edge to give it some vintage flair!
I added the cheesecloth in the fashion made popular by some great scrappers before me :)
I printed out a skeletal figure from the internet to add inside the frame.
Inside I just did a simple embellishment and lined the bottom with that green stripe and added a small resin pile of skulls.
