Stuff!

I keep seeing these pictures over old dictionary pages so Ii decided to do my own version.  Here is a raven I reverse painted on glass (Okay, I traced it with a black paint pen), then I printed out The Raven  by Poe (oh, how original, right?) and put a few feathers on it!  I like it.
The other thing I want to share is my picture frame made from an old encyclopedia.  I work at the library and have access to lots of old books.  I've made several altered books so I thought i would do something different.  I cut a large opening in the front cover, removed around 20 pages from the front and then used thick double sided tape around the bottom, and sides so I had space for the photo to slide down inside.  I painted the book black and added some gold glitter paint and some embellishments and now I have a picture frame!!

Oh, I glued all the rest of the pages together, I think I forgot to say that.  This picture is the photo (London Eye) sliding down inside the frame.

Here's the finished thing!

Junkgarden!

I know I don't have any followers, but I am mentioning this anyway because Junkgarden has some super stuff on her blog.  Everyone should follow her blog and on Facebook.  She's got a "Guilty" collection she's having a giveaway on, and it is really, really neat.  I love it!

Sherlock Holmes!

Well one of my obsessions is Sherlock Holmes, especially the newest movie version with RDJ.  So of course, I made a bunch of stuff.  This is my scrapbook.

A college.

Another one.

A shadow box.
Another of those.
This is one of my faves.
This one has all 3 of my favorite Sherlocks and their Dr. Watsons.

Pocket shrines.    More later!!

Alice in Wonderland - Halloween in Wonderland Graphic 45's paper.

I love this paper!!!!

That's a mint tin in the corner.  I cut out a ton of pages to fit it in.  I also used a plastic slide frame on the bottom corner and place a mini bottle with DRINK ME on the label.

I placed a little tea cup charm inside.  This book was a great find.  I got it for $1 at the library's store.

Here's a Alice In Wonderland shadowbox I made with the same paper.

And a box with a scrapbook inside!!

Just me and my crafts

So, I made this blog.  I want to put all my craft projects here just to keep them all together.  I doubt anyone will stumble over this little thing but if someday someone does - well, I like to do crafts.  I love scrapbooking, but I also do other things.  I plan to post photos and maybe just random rants.
